Description
A Westmoreland Green Compote in a very nice satin sheen. It shows off a darling three-prong footed base that is 3″ in diameter. The size of the compote is 4 3/4″ tall with a 4 1/2″ width top opening. The compote is in very good condition, no marks, chips, etc. A striking lime green color, not too bright, just right!
What a stunning color to use for any decoration theme. This piece is especially great for blending in with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even Easter decorations.
The Westmoreland Glass company dates back to 1889 in Grapeville, Pennsylvania. A group of investors opened the Westmoreland Glass Company there due to an abundance of natural gas and proximity to railroads. The company survived until 1984, although there were many owner changes. And the beautiful glass remains for discerning art glass collectors to enjoy.
