This doll originally sold on the U.S. Historical Society for $145.00 until they were sold out. This doll is one of a collection commissioned and produced by the official U.S. Historical Society.
This beautiful collector doll pays tribute to the iconic founder of modern nursing. She features a serene hand-painted face, and finely stitched detailing throughout her uniform. The doll wears a full grey gown with brown trim, lace cuffs, and a lace collar. She holds a lantern—a symbol famously associated with Nightingale’s nightly rounds during the Crimean War—along with her original information card. Her delicate netted hair covering and historically inspired clothing make her an excellent display piece for collectors of medical history memorabilia, inspirational women figures, or vintage porcelain dolls.
