Description
Here is a Boyd’s Bears Pair from 1990-1996 that are cuddly and fun to collect! The larger bear is 11″ tall. The smaller bear is 5″ tall and comes with a tag and clothing.
The first ever Boyd’s Bear was a 12″ stuffed bear with movable joints. It was named after their newborn son, Matthew, in 1984.
The company became known as Boyd’s Bears after the town of Boyd, Maryland where they lived and operated their business. They were part of the Archives Collection. Interesting fact, no two bears are exactly alike which gives each one its own character.
Enesco acquired the company in 2008 and retired the line in 2014. The bears have been very popular collectors’ items, and remain so now that they are no longer being produced.
