It is a Trifari Purple Butterfly Brooch. A big and gorgeous butterfly brooch. The company was founded in 1910 by Gustavo Trifari who emigrated from Italy in 1904.
Well-known designer Alfred Philippe created pieces of affordable jewelry for Trifari through 1968. Trifari continued through 1994 when purchased by Monet and of course, the great designs continued. The beautiful piece is purple on gold tone metal.
The butterfly’s size is 2 3/8″ x 1 5/8″.
