This Tettau Schmidt & Greiner Serving Plate is a beautiful 19th century piece! A very rare beauty indeed, especially for its old age. From porcelain makers Tettau, Schmidt & Greiner, here comes a very bright serving plate with beautiful flowers design. Quite the nice collection serving piece made sometime by 1852 according to its mark,

The Tettau Schmidt & Greiner factory was established in 1794 with the permission of King Willheim II, and run by the Greiner family until 1852.

By 1897, the plan had changed hands several times. It burned to the ground in 1897 but later enlarged by then owners Tettau Sontag, and Maisel. Later the name was incorporated into the Germany US Zone, occupied section of Germany after WWII through 1949.
