A Pflueger Vintage Leader Box is a really great item of fishing history that is still very useful today. This is an aluminum lure box, made by the Pflueger Company. The box is 3 3/4″ in diameter by 5/8″ deep.
Pflueger’s products have a worldwide reputation, being regarded as top performers. Mr. Ernest Pflueger started a hook company in 1881.
When his son Earnest, took over in 1916, he made the first reel from his factory in Akron, Ohio. This became a benchmark of all things fishing. They also introduced the well-loved spinning reel in 1954. They still produce high quality fishing equipment after 120 years of business.
