Northwood Chrysanthemum Sprig Cruet is a beautiful example of the well-known Northwood Glass Company. It was manufactured circa 1899-1904 in the Northwood Wheeling, Virginia plant. It is made of hand carved custard glass.

This intricate piece stands 5 1/4″ tall and 3 1/2″ wide across the body. It bears a perfect pontil point on the bottom to show it is antique glass of almost 125 years old.

Description

Northwood Chrysanthemum Sprig Cruet is a wonderful example of the famous Northwood Glass Company. This beauty bears a perfect pontil point on the bottom to show it is almost 125 years old. It is a masterful hand carving of custard glass.

This Northwood Chrysanthemum Sprig Cruet is in almost perfect used condition. The only indications of its years in service are very tiny chips at the top edge where the glass stopper meets the cruet edge. And, a few tiny places along the edges of the cruet that are very small. The end side of the glass stopper also has some small chip wear.
