This McCoy 1945 Large Dutch Boy Cookie Jar is in good shape for its age and use. This one stands 8 1/4″ tall, and its width across the top measures 5″.
It is no doubt these McCoy pieces were made to stand the test of time and use. However, their thickness serves them well but does chip or crack over many years of use. Most all vintage McCoy cookie jars will have some cracks and wear. Therefore, please look at photos for chips and cracks!
Also, just bear in mind it is a very famous piece of McCoy pottery. This cookie jar will keep its value if we take good care of it.
There is something so unique about vintage cookie jars. Just think of how many times they were opened and closed again. Amazing they have survived a young child’s use. It is the character of the piece we like to collect and the memories we love.
