Description
Fenton Cobalt Blue Hobnail Basket is a 1995 Easter special item. It features a spiral weave cobalt blue handle and top basket trim. The basket itself is clear with white hobnails that fuse into a milk white that meets the cobalt blue trim.
An absolutely beautiful creation complete with original ticket that indicates the basket handle maker’s seal. This one is by Dave Vincent. The basket’s size is 6 1/2″ and 5″ at the widest.
The Fenton company opened in 1905, when they launched their own glassware factory with iridescent ware. The Williamstown, West Virginia, company employed more than 100 workers for years until closing in 2011.
