Our return and refund policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed from the purchase date, we can’t offer you a refund.
To start a return, email us at returns@atkatsplace.com. Be sure to include your order number, SKU number and the reason for your return. If approved, we will send you a return mailing label. You will be charged for return shipping at the same rate you originally paid (which includes insurance) plus a restocking fee of 10% of purchase price. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
Alternatively, if you wish to apply your refund to the purchase of a new item, we will waive the 10% restocking fee. In this case we will provide you with a coupon code to use on your next purchase of equal or greater value.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition in which you received it. It must also be sent back in the original packaging. You are responsible for repacking the item and should take photos to show the item(s) was packed correctly when returning it to us. Please use instructions in the next section for requesting a refund for damaged items.
Although most of our items are in good to excellent condition when shipped, some items we sell will have minor damage or defects due to use and age. We make every effort to point them out in the description and show them in the high resolution photos. It is best for you to carefully refer to and examine all photos, ask questions, do research, etc. before purchasing to determine this item’s condition for yourself. Some items that have chips, cracks, tears, etc. will be priced at a lower rate.
Your purchase signifies that you have done due diligence concerning the item(s) and made the personal decision as to this item’s condition and suitability for your use. Remember, you can always ask us questions before purchasing by emailing us at questions@atkatsplace.com.
We cannot be responsible for any items that have glued parts such as costume jewelry that arrived with these loosened due to the shipping process. We have fully inspected each item and wrapped them carefully. Plus we mark the box with a FRAGILE notice. We take pictures of the item in its box to verify the condition in which it was shipped. Again, if the package was damaged in shipping, please refer to the Damaged Items section below.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of receipt of your returned item and the amount credited to your original payment method. We can only issue refunds though the original payment method. (please note: if your card has been replaced, banks will still accept refunds using the old card number).
Returns may not be approved if the wrong item is returned, it appears that the piece was modified or non-transit-related damage occurred. We cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur after an item was received.

Damaged Items
If your item was damaged in shipping, all items are insured and we will refund your cost if contacted within the 30 days from purchase window, and if approved by our insurance company. To initiate this process email us at shipping-damage@atkatsplace.com. The email should include the order number and item number (SKU). You must also attach pictures of the packaging and damaged item(s). If approved by the insurance company, a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment. We will email you regarding acceptance or rejection of your claim as soon as we hear from the insurance company. We are only liable for items damaged in transit.
Please retain items and packaging until your claim has been approved.
